Kalahari Desert Camp is situated on a prime and private 15 500 hectare concession located in the Kalahari, sharing borders with the northern boundary of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is the largest reserve in Botswana covering 52 800 km2 and is well known for various pans and more famously the Deception Pan.

It is largely undeveloped and therefore has large tracts of land as protected wilderness in southern Africa. Remoteness, unforgiving climate and harsh terrain are the obvious characteristics that have made Central Kalahari
Game Reserve the most pristine and untapped resource in Botswana.

The Central Kalahari has been described as a magical place and should be visited at least once in a life time. Our concession is a habitat to several wildlife species such as gemsbok, hartebeest, springbok, eland, wildebeest, lions, cheetahs, leopard, variety of birdlife and nocturnal species such as aardwolf and the brown hyena. The main area of the camp comprises of reception, dining area, lapa, lounge, viewing deck and a swimming pool
which provides a serene setting for the guests to relax during the midday
heat of the Kalahari.

The camp has 5 luxury tents which are exquisitely furnished with twin beds teak dressing table and wardrobe. Ensuite facilities include flush toilets and hot showers. . The Kalahari Desert Camp also has an enchanting honey moon option where guests can be accommodated in a honeymoon suite with a private swimming pool, outside door shower and a double bed. Air-conditioning and exquisite furnishings make this suite unique. Private dining can be arranged. There is also an option of a private safari at an additional fee. The honey moon option should be requested prior to arrival to allow
for preparations.

Access: Air Botswana operates scheduled flights to Maun. Guests will be transferred to Kalahari Desert Camp Airstrip by light aircraft. Road transfers from Maun are available at approximate travel time of 3 hours.
